Bathroom renovations.
A bathroom lives or dies on what happens behind the tile. Tubs, walk-in showers, vanities, and finishes built to handle moisture and daily use for years. Here's the order I build one in.
Built right
behind the tile.
The steps you can see are only half of it. The waterproofing underneath is what decides whether the room holds up.
We plan the finished room first
We walk through the layout, what you want to keep, and what you want to change, whether that's opening up a tub to a walk-in shower or just refreshing finishes. I measure and photograph everything.
Selections and ordering
Tile, vanity, fixtures, and the shower or tub get chosen and ordered up front, so the build runs without waiting on parts midway through.
Protect and demo
Dust is contained and floors are protected, then demo is done carefully around the plumbing so nothing gets damaged that doesn't need to be.
Waterproofing and rough-in
This is the part that protects the room for years: proper backer board, a waterproofing membrane, a correctly sloped shower pan, and drains set right. It's the step most worth not rushing.
Tile and set the fixtures
Wall and floor tile go in with consistent spacing and clean lines, then the tub or shower, vanity, and toilet are set.
Trim, grout, and seal
Trim goes on, grout lines are sealed, and every joint that meets water is caulked so moisture stays where it belongs.
Test, clean, and walk through
Water gets run and checked for leaks, the room is cleaned, and we walk it together so anything on the punch list is handled before I'm finished.
