Drywall & paint.

Walls and ceilings that look flawless under any light. Hung with adhesive backing for fewer fasteners and nail pops, then finished and painted with clean lines and no shortcuts. Here's how it goes.

The process

Smooth walls,
under any light.

A wall that looks fine in the afternoon can show every flaw at night. The finishing is what makes the difference.

01

Plan the layout and protect the room

Floors and furniture are covered, and the board layout is planned to keep seams to a minimum where they'd show the most.

02

Hang the board

Board is hung using adhesive backing along with fasteners, which means fewer screws and fewer nail pops down the road. Cuts around openings are kept tight and clean.

03

Tape and mud

Seams are taped, then built up with multiple coats of compound, each one feathered wider than the last so the joints disappear into the wall.

04

Sand and prime

Everything is sanded smooth and primed, which evens out the surface so paint goes on uniform instead of patchy over repairs.

05

Paint with clean lines

Edges are cut in by hand and even coats are rolled on, typically two, so the color lays down consistent across the whole surface.

06

Detail and clean up

Trim gaps are caulked, any touch-ups are handled, and the room is cleaned up at the end of the work.

07

Check it under raking light

I check the finished walls under raking light, where flaws hide, and fix anything that shows before I call it done.
